Coventry & District Secondary Galas

Blythe Barracudas were well represented at the recent Coventry and District Secondary Galas Open Meet held over 2 days at Nuneaton Pingles Leisure Centre. 37 swimmers took part and bagged 32 medals; awarded to the top six in each age category. The boys were on fine form and were rewarded with 19 medals. It was victory for Jack Wilson in the boys 13 years 50m freestyle and 100m breaststroke. Amile Zormati pulled off silver in the 15/over100m freestyle and 50m backstroke along with Tom McNutt in the 14 years 50m and 100m backstroke races. Bronze medals went to Matthew Pagan [...]

Second Round Success for Blythe Barracudas

The second round of the Nuneaton Junior League saw Blythe Barracudas’ A and B Teams in action at Worcester and Tamworth. The A Team was triumphant at their fixture at Worcester, collecting 236 points to keep them at the top of the Division 2 table. For the girls, there were wins for Carmen Whaley in the 9 years 25m breaststroke, Erin Molloy in the 10’s 50m breaststroke, Charlotte Rigg in the 11’s 50m breaststroke, Alyssa Morrison in the 11’s 50m backstroke, Ella Reel in the 12’s 50m breaststroke and Rosie Breslin in the 12’s 50m backstroke. Exciting Start to Nuneaton Junior League

It was an exciting start to the Nuneaton Junior League season for Blythe Barracudas Swimming Club who, for the first time, has 2 teams fighting for promotion to Divisions 1 and 2. The A Team was victorious at their draw in Leamington Spa, finishing 56 points ahead of the second placed team to go to the top of the table after the first round. 1st Round Mercian League

The first round of the Mercian Summer Swimming League saw Blythe Barracudas drawn against some of the top clubs in the group. There were some gutsy swims from the entire team, leading to a 4th place finish overall.
